These policies apply to all tickets purchased on or after the effective date above.

1. Purchase Terms & Cancellation Policy
Tinny Rally is an expedition-style event conducted in dynamic natural environments. Participation involves inherent variability including weather, river conditions, fire directives, access permissions, regulatory requirements, and operational factors.
By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1.1 Cooling-Off Period
A full refund (less payment processor fees) is available within 7 days of purchase.
After the 7-day cooling-off period, tickets are non-refundable except as expressly outlined below.
1.2 Participant Cancellation (More Than 6 Months Before Event)
If you withdraw more than 6 months prior to the published event start date, you may request:

A refund of the ticket price, less:
-
Payment processor fees, and
-
A reasonable administration fee.
-
Refunds are calculated from the original ticket value, not instalments paid.
1.3 Participant Cancellation (6 Months or Less Before Event)
If you choose not to attend within 6 months of the event start date, no refund will be provided for any reason, including but not limited to:

Personal circumstances
-
Medical issues
-
Mechanical or equipment failure
-
Travel disruption
-
Change of availability
You may either:
-
Transfer your ticket in accordance with Section 1.7, or
-
Forfeit your ticket
Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance to cover personal contingencies.
1.4 Event Changes
The organiser may adjust the event as required, including but not limited to:
-
Route
-
Schedule
-
Start or finish locations
-
Daily distances
-
Overnight locations
Such changes may occur due to weather, river conditions, safety considerations, bushfire directives, government or authority requirements, access constraints, or logistical factors.
Route or schedule changes do not entitle participants to refunds, credits, or compensation.
1.5 Postponement Due to Force Majeure
If the event is postponed due to circumstances beyond the organiser’s reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Bushfire
-
Flood
-
River closure
-
Extreme weather events
-
Biosecurity restrictions
-
Government directives or orders
-
Safety or navigation authority instructions
-
Withdrawal, suspension, or refusal of required insurance
-
Withdrawal of land access, permits, approvals, or camping permissions
-
Any regulatory or authority decision impacting event viability
Tickets will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date.
If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date:
-
A credit equal to the original ticket value will be issued
-
Credit is valid for 12 months from the original event date
-
Credit is non-refundable and not redeemable for cash
-
Credit may be applied to a future Tinny Rally event (subject to availability)
1.6 Cancellation Prior to Event Commencement
If the event is cancelled prior to commencement due to force majeure circumstances:
-
A credit equal to the ticket value will be issued
-
Credits are valid for 12 months
-
Credits are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash
No cash refunds will be provided.
1.7 Early Termination or Shortening of Event
Participants acknowledge that expedition-style events may be shortened, modified, or terminated early due to environmental conditions, safety risks, bushfire directives, river conditions, regulatory requirements, or authority instructions.
If the event is shortened or terminated after commencement:

No refunds or partial refunds will be issued
-
No pro-rata calculations apply
Participation is undertaken with full understanding of this risk.
1.8 Name Change (Same Event Only)
Tickets are issued to a specific participant for a specific Tinny Rally event and are not transferable as of right.
In limited circumstances, and at the sole discretion of the organiser, a ticket transfer may be approved. A transfer is strictly defined as:
“A change of the named participant on an existing ticket for the same event only.”
A transfer does not constitute, and will not be treated as:

A transfer to a different Tinny Rally event
-
A transfer to a different event date or location
-
A deferral, rollover, or swap between events
Transfers may be approved only where all of the following conditions are met:
-
The transfer is between known parties (e.g. friends, existing team members, or direct personal contacts)
-
The transfer does not involve public advertising, resale platforms, social media listings, or discounted offers
-
The transfer remains within the same ticket type (Skipper, Crew, Under-18)
-
No additional boats, entries, or team restructuring is introduced
-
Team allocations and operational planning remain unchanged
If approved:
-
A $100 administration fee applies
-
The transfer request must be submitted no later than 60 days prior to the event start date
-
The replacement participant must meet all eligibility, documentation, and waiver requirements
Transfers are a courtesy, not a contractual right.
The organiser reserves the right to refuse any transfer request without obligation to provide reasons.
No transfers will be permitted within 60 days of the event start date.
1.9 No Event-to-Event Transfers or Swaps
Tinny Rally does not offer ticket swaps, rollovers, or transfers between different events, dates, or locations.
If a participant wishes to attend a different Tinny Rally event, they must:

Request a refund strictly in accordance with the refund policy, and
-
Purchase a new ticket for the desired event (subject to availability)
Where a refund is not available under the applicable refund policy, the ticket cannot be moved, exchanged, deferred, or reassigned to another event.
1.10 No Refunds for Personal Circumstances
Refunds or credits will not be granted for personal circumstances including, but not limited to:

Mechanical failure
-
Boat damage or theft
-
Medical issues
-
Travel disruption
-
Equipment failure
-
Personal emergencies
Participants are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and event insurance.
1.11 Payment Processor Fees
Where refunds are permitted under this policy, payment processor fees are non-refundable.
1.12 Acknowledgement of Expedition Risk
Tinny Rally is not a packaged tour or guaranteed itinerary product. It is an expedition-style event conducted in natural and changing environments.
Participants accept that environmental and operational variability is inherent to the experience and does not constitute failure to deliver the event.
2. Conditions of Entry
Participation in the Tinny Rally (“Event”) is conditional upon strict compliance with the following requirements.
Failure to meet or maintain these conditions may result in refusal to launch, removal from the Event, or exclusion from future events without refund.
2.1 Vessel Eligibility
Each participating vessel must:
-
Be a single-hull (monohull) aluminium or polycraft vessel.
-
Not exceed 5 metres in length.
-
Not exceed 60 horsepower.
-
Be legally registered and compliant with applicable marine laws.
-
Not exceed manufacturer or legal load limits.
-
Have an engine appropriately rated for the hull.
-
Be capable of maintaining a minimum cruising speed of approximately 30km/h when fully loaded.
Fibreglass vessels, catamarans, or non-compliant hull types are not permitted.
No exemptions will be granted.
2.2 Licensing & Insurance
Each skipper must:
-
Hold a valid marine licence where legally required.
-
Operate a legally compliant vessel.
-
Maintain current third-party boat insurance (public liability or property damage).
Proof of licence and insurance must be uploaded prior to participation.
Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in refusal to launch.
2.3 Mandatory Equipment
Each vessel must carry:
-
An independent satellite emergency communication device (EPIRB, PLB or equivalent).
-
A mobile phone operating on the Telstra network.
-
Required navigation software (including both water navigation mapping and land-based access mapping).
-
A compliant chemical camping toilet with holding tank.
-
A first aid kit.
-
All legally required marine safety equipment.
-
Adequate fuel, food, water and charging capacity for daily travel.
Participants are responsible for ensuring equipment remains functional throughout the Event.
2.4 Tracking & Communication Requirements
Participants must:
-
Install and operate the nominated GPS tracking application while travelling on the water during official event travel hours.
-
Provide a current and accurate mobile phone number for emergency coordination.
-
Join and monitor the nominated communication platform (e.g. WhatsApp group) for event updates and safety notices.
Failure to maintain active communication capability may result in removal from the Event.
2.5 Screening & Induction
All participants must:
-
Complete the online induction (100% pass requirement).
-
Watch required safety briefing materials.
-
Complete all required forms.
-
Execute the Participation Waiver.
-
Where applicable, execute the Skipper Agreement.
-
Present their vessel for equipment screening at the designated start location.
Screening verifies the presence of required equipment only and does not constitute mechanical inspection or seaworthiness certification.
2.6 Operational Conduct
Participants must:
-
Travel within designated daily river corridors.
-
Arrive at overnight zones during daylight hours.
-
Camp only in lawful and permitted locations.
-
Comply with marine alcohol limits.
-
Operate vessels safely and responsibly at all times.
The Event does not operate a supervised convoy system. Participants may choose to travel socially with others but remain independently responsible for navigation and safety.
2.7 Land Use & Camping Compliance
Participants must:
-
Comply with all landowner directions where private access is arranged.
-
Comply with caravan park rules where applicable.
-
Comply with public land regulations and national park restrictions.
-
Comply with all fire bans and environmental restrictions.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the Event.
2.8 Administrative Deadlines
Participants must submit all required documentation by published deadlines.
Failure to complete required forms or uploads may result in:
-
Refusal to launch.
-
Removal from the Event.
-
Loss of merchandise entitlements.
-
Loss of access to designated camping arrangements.
No refund will be provided where participation is denied due to participant non-compliance.
2.9 Right of Refusal & Removal
Oasis Adventure Co reserves the right to:
-
Refuse launch clearance.
-
Remove any vessel deemed unsafe.
-
Remove any participant for breach of rules.
-
Remove any participant for conduct which may endanger others or compromise the insurability of the Event.
Such decisions are made in the interest of participant safety and event viability.
Removal from the Event for any reason under this clause does not entitle the participant to refund, credit, or compensation.
3. Event Liability Waiver
3.1 Formation of Agreement
This waiver forms a binding contractual agreement between you and Oasis Adventure Co Pty Ltd ABN 64 680 875 183 (“Oasis Adventure Co”) in consideration for you being permitted to participate in the Tinny Rally (“Event”).
The Event constitutes the supply of recreational services for the purposes of the Australian Consumer Law.
By ticking the acceptance box, you agree to the terms of this waiver.
Where this waiver is accepted by a parent or guardian on behalf of a minor, that parent or guardian warrants they have authority to do so and agrees to indemnify Oasis Adventure Co for any loss suffered if this waiver is found unenforceable against that individual.
3.2 Independent Operation Acknowledgement
You acknowledge that:

The Event is a structured recreational boating expedition.
-
Oasis Adventure Co does not exercise marine command authority.
-
The Event is not a guided tour or escorted fleet.
-
Each vessel operates independently.
-
Each skipper is solely responsible for safe navigation, vessel operation, fuel management, equipment, crew safety, and compliance with marine law.
3.3 Assumption of Risk
Participation in the Event involves inherent risks including, but not limited to:
-
Vessel collision, capsize, grounding or mechanical failure
-
Submerged hazards including timber groins, snags and debris
-
Lock chambers, ferry crossings and variable river conditions
-
Fire, smoke, flood, heat, wind and reduced visibility
-
Remote-area isolation and delayed emergency response
-
Wildlife encounters
-
Physical exhaustion
-
Loss, theft or damage to property
You voluntarily assume all such risks, including the risk of serious injury or death.
3.4 Health & Substance Declaration
You declare that you do not suffer from any medical condition that may increase the risk of serious injury or death.
You agree not to operate a vessel while exceeding legal alcohol limits or under the influence of drugs.
Minor participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
3.5 Preparation & Remote Environment Acknowledgement
You acknowledge that the Event is conducted in remote environments and that you are solely responsible for:

Adequate preparation
-
Fuel, food and water planning
-
Navigation capability
-
Charging capacity
-
Contingency planning for breakdown or delay
3.6 Equipment & Property Responsibility
You are responsible for providing and securing all required equipment including vessel, trailer, safety equipment, camping equipment, fuel and supplies.
Vehicles and trailers may be parked in informal rural locations including private paddocks.
Vessels may be left unattended at ramps, docks or shoreline locations.
Security presence (if any) does not constitute custody or guarantee.
Oasis Adventure Co does not assume care, custody or control of any participant vessel, trailer or personal property.
You accept all risk of theft, vandalism, drifting, livestock damage, weather damage, flood, fire or third-party interference.
Participants are solely responsible for transporting their vessel, trailer, and equipment to and from the Event start and finish locations.
3.7 Mechanical Assistance & Repairs
Oasis Adventure Co may, at its discretion, provide or facilitate mechanical assistance including diagnostics, temporary repairs, towing assistance, trailer handling, motor swaps or referral to third-party repairers.
Such assistance:

Is discretionary
-
Is provided without warranty
-
May be limited by safety or environmental conditions
You accept all risk of damage, further mechanical failure, loss of use or consequential loss arising from such assistance.
3.8 Landing, Camping & Fire Compliance
You are responsible for selecting lawful landing and camping locations.
You must comply with landowner directions, caravan park rules, public land regulations and fire restrictions.
You indemnify Oasis Adventure Co for any claim, fine or damage arising from your breach of such obligations.
3.9 Navigation & Information Disclaimer
Maps, corridor diagrams, access points, distance estimates and other information are provided for coordination purposes only.
Such information may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate.
You remain solely responsible for navigation decisions.
3.10 GPS Tracking & Public Visibility
You acknowledge that participation requires the use of a GPS tracking application while operating on the water during official event travel hours.
You consent to the collection and sharing of your vessel’s location data.
You acknowledge that your location may be visible to:

Event personnel
-
Other participants
-
The general public
You accept any privacy risk associated with public visibility.
Tracking is not a safety device and is not monitored continuously.
You remain solely responsible for initiating emergency services using whatever communication method is available to you, including mobile phone, marine radio or satellite emergency device.
Oasis Adventure Co accepts no responsibility for tracking failures, inaccuracies or misuse of publicly visible data.
3.11 Emergency Responsibility & First Aid
You acknowledge and agree that:

Each vessel is required to carry its own compliant first aid kit.
-
You are solely responsible for administering first aid to yourself and your crew.
-
You are solely responsible for initiating contact with emergency services in any emergency situation.
You must contact emergency services directly using whatever communication method is available to you, including mobile phone (000), marine radio, satellite emergency device (EPIRB/PLB), or other available means.
Oasis Adventure Co:
-
Does not monitor participants for distress.
-
Does not operate as a rescue service.
-
Does not assume responsibility for initiating emergency response on your behalf.
-
Does not guarantee detection of emergency situations.
You acknowledge that any GPS tracking application used during the Event:
-
Is not continuously monitored.
-
Is not a safety device.
-
Is not relied upon for emergency detection or rescue coordination.
Oasis Adventure Co support vessels may carry first aid equipment, including first aid kits and an AED. Any assistance provided by Oasis Adventure Co personnel is:
-
Voluntary
-
Secondary in nature
-
Subject to access, safety conditions and availability
-
Provided without representation or warranty as to effectiveness
Provision of assistance does not create a duty of care beyond that imposed by law.
You accept all risks associated with delayed emergency access inherent in remote and river-based environments.
3.12 Extraction & Recovery
You acknowledge and agree that:
• Oasis Adventure Co does not provide a vessel recovery, towing, salvage, or transport service.
• The presence of support or sweep vessels does not create an obligation to tow, retrieve, transport, repair, or recover any participant vessel.
• Any assistance provided by support vessels is discretionary and limited by safety, environmental, operational, and risk considerations.
• Oasis Adventure Co is not responsible for transporting participants, vessels, trailers, or equipment from the river in the event of breakdown, damage, abandonment, or early exit.
• Participants are solely responsible for arranging their own recovery, transport, accommodation, onward travel, and associated costs in the event they are unable to continue.
Failure of a vessel or inability to complete the Event does not create any entitlement to refund, compensation, or logistical support.
3.13 Exclusion & Removal
Oasis Adventure Co may remove or disqualify participants for breach of this waiver, unsafe conduct, illegal conduct, reputational damage, or any reasonable cause.
3.14 Release & Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you release Oasis Adventure Co, its officers, employees, contractors, sponsors, volunteers and associated personnel (“Releasees”) from all liability for loss, damage, injury or death arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Event.
This release applies even where such liability arises from the negligence of a Releasee.
To the extent permitted by section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), you agree that the liability of Oasis Adventure Co for any claim relating to the supply of recreational services is excluded.
Where a statutory guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law applies and cannot be excluded, the liability of Oasis Adventure Co is limited, at its option, to:

The resupply of the recreational services; or
-
The payment of the cost of resupply of the recreational services.
You indemnify the Releasees against any claim, demand or proceeding arising from:

Your negligence
-
Your breach of this waiver
-
Your breach of law
-
Damage caused by your vessel or equipment
-
Your actions during the Event
This indemnity survives completion of the Event.
3.15 Severability
If any provision of this waiver is held unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remainder shall continue in full force.
3.17 Media & Image Release
Tinny Rally is a documented expedition and media content is a core part of the Event experience.
You acknowledge that the Event is documented through photography, videography, drone footage, and other media formats.
By participating in the Event, you grant Oasis Adventure Co a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, edit, adapt, and display any photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or other media captured during the Event in which you or your vessel appear.
This includes use for:
• Promotional and marketing materials
• Social media
• Website content
• Documentary or storytelling content
• Sponsor and partner communications
• Future event promotion
You acknowledge and agree that:
• No compensation is payable for such use.
• Media may be edited, adapted, combined with other content, or used in composite form.
• Oasis Adventure Co is not required to seek further approval for any use.
• Participation in the Event constitutes irrevocable consent to such use.
• You waive any moral rights you may have in relation to such media to the extent permitted by law.
3.18 Previous Versions
If you purchased your ticket before 22.2.26, your participation is governed by the previous version available here:
