Need a Hire Tinny for the Rally?

Tinny Rally does not hire vessels.

If you don’t own a suitable boat, the following independent local hire companies offer tinnys that meet the rally requirements.

Participants contract directly with the hire company. Tinny Rally is not involved in the hire agreement.

Some hire companies offer delivery to Mildura and collection from Mannum. Option to fly into Mildura, out of Adelaide.—no driving back and forth. These arrangements are made directly between you and the hire provider.  You can then arrange your own taxi transport from Mannum back to Adelaide Airport – Des’s Taxis in Murray Bridge or any Taxi cab company from Adelaide.

Which Tinny To Get?

A 25-30hp Tinny is suitable for 1-2 people. Keep in mind the heavier you are the lighter you will need to pack (especially if you weight over 100kg)

The 60hp tinnys are suitable for 3-4 people.

Getting your spot on the Tinny Rally

Get your hire tinny booked in first, then come back to us to book and pay for your spot on the rally. Due to limited hire availability, participants who secure a confirmed hire booking with the above providers may request a reserved rally entry (subject to availability).

FAQ – I can hire a 25 hp tinny or the 60hp poly, which one will be better/more fun?

Depends if you want the authentic experience with the 25 tiller steer or cheat and have the luxury and the ability to carry more gear and speed and have a steering wheel with the 60

Vessel Operation

Hire vessels must comply with Tinny Rally event limits (maximum 5m length and 60hp).

Once on the water, all participants — including those using hire vessels — operate as independent vessel operators and remain responsible for navigation, compliance, and safety.
